Video Collaboration in the Era of Mobility
The consumerization of IT, led by the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) phenomenon, is an unstoppable trend. Employees expect to and do bring their own smartphones and tablets into the office. When employees have mobile access to corporate applications, they can transition between business and leisure seamlessly, allowing them to work from anywhere, anytime. Providing employees with the latest mobile devices is costly, but employees themselves can and will upgrade their devices as soon as the next one is available. Organizations must support this trend to stay relevant and ahead of their competitors.
A recently published whitepaper by the Unified Communications Interoperability Forum states, “One important driver for the growth of UC is mobility and the remote worker. No segment is growing faster than mobile communications, and virtually every smartphone will be equipped with video chat, IM, directory and other UC features within a few years.” During this webinar, attendees will learn how RADVISION’s SCOPIA Mobile provides video collaboration capabilities to support the BYOD phenomenon. We will explore a number of issues, including interoperability as well as mobile operating systems and user interfaces that maximize the collaborative experience.
