Mission: Upgrade AV Installations
Boasting more than 1,500 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space, the Hilton Anaheim is Orange County’s largest hotel. As part of Hilton’s $60 million renovation, AVI-SPL improved the functionality and efficiency of the hotel’s AV technology throughout the venue, including twin 28,542 square feet ballrooms, three outdoor garden decks with an enhanced audio system, and 51 individual meeting rooms, which may be used for groups of 10 to 3,000 people.
Action: Create Meeting Rooms for Any Need
Several of the Hilton’s meeting spaces are combinable, allowing for presentations in one larger room. To accommodate these requirements, each room is equipped with a zoned audio system that allows the rooms to operate independently when separated, and as one when combined. As with the ballrooms, each meeting room contains AMX touch panels that allow for volume control of the audio system in the room. This touch panel is connected to a shared master AMX control system, allowing for remote management by the Hilton Anaheim.

The digital signage solution for the meeting and ballrooms includes displays which are located outside of each entrance, and at various locations on the second floor. Content on each of these monitors may include the meeting or company name, a promotional video and/or advertisement created in software provided with the system. This system has been approved to interoperate with the Hilton Delphi system so that updates are automatic based upon Delphi data.
The wayfinding requirement for this property includes 11 sites each featuring two 40″ LCD monitors in portrait mode. The displays provide a list of the meetings in each particular wing or corridor. This configuration allows the Hilton Anaheim to determine when, where and how content is displayed.
Impact: Efficient Hotel Staff
The AV system now offers more robust, versatile solutions to meeting planners and guests. This allows hotel staff to increase their efficiency, and also impress potential clients with the seamless blend of accommodating AV technology.
