Crestron DM NVX 384 AV-over-IP encoder/decoder

Let people connect naturally over video and in the room.

Crestron engineered the DM NVX 384 encoder/decoder to ensure it’s scalable, flexible, efficient, and secure. Here are some key features of this next-generation AV-over-IP system:

  • USB-C Connectivity — DM NVX 384 includes USB-C connectivity that will provide a video input and also get USB connectivity peripherals — such as a webcam, speakerphone, or conferencing device — back to a user’s laptop.
  • Multi-input Switching — This device features two HDMI inputs, making it a four-input switcher. When customers have multiple sources at a lectern, podium, and so on, it allows users to switch those sources easily. It’s ideal for educational settings, for example.
  • 5K Support — 5K is becoming fairly common with 21:9 and 32:9 displays, sometimes called ‘super-wide’ and ‘ultra-wide displays. These wide displays enable Microsoft Front Row, a content layout for participants in Microsoft Teams Rooms, which leverages a 21:9 configuration. DM NVX 384 lets you transport and extend that content view.

Meetings become more collaborative when everyone can participate seamlessly. Automate VX uses advanced optical zoom cameras and voice-activated switching to provide remote participants with a clear, sharp view of the entire room.

With AI-assisted framing, this technology also ensures that in-person participants can focus on the discussion without worrying about where to look to stay engaged.

Automate VX uses input from microphones you place around the room to control camera movements and enhance the on-screen experience. The system makes quick, seamless cuts to follow the current and previous speakers, ensuring the conversation flows smoothly. This way, important non-verbal cues like eye contact, gestures, and reactions are always visible.
