LINCOLN, Nebraska – May 15, 2017 – This week at the 16th annual IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (EIT 2017), experts from AVI-SPL, the global leader in AV systems integration and collaboration solutions, will provide insight on how the latest simulation and visualization innovations are advancing within multiple industries.
Formatted for a lively panel discussion, the session titled “Global Trends in Simulation & Visualization and Advanced Applications” will include AVI-SPL’s Senior Programming Architect David Thorson and Vice President of Business Development Jim Angelillo, along with Stanford University Behavioral Neuroscientist and Medical Technology Developer Walter Greenleaf, PhD.
Together, the panel of three will focus on the evolution of technology in various industries, namely healthcare, as well as how the adoption of modeling and simulation for training and research is impacting traditional acquisition and integration processes.
“There is high technical knowledge required to make these types of systems, not just a reality, but extremely valuable,” said Thorson. “With the right tools and best possible user experience, this technology can enable people to accomplish incredible feats for the world around us.”
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Pamela Boyers, vice chancellor at the University of Nebraska, the event’s host site. Guests are invited to learn and participate in the discussion from 1-3 p.m. CDT inside the University of Nebraska’s Student Union Heritage room.
