New HSBC Jumeirah Vision Sparks a Digital Banking and Workplace Experience Refresh

HSBC set out to modernize its Jumeirah branch with a clear vision. The goal was to create an engaging customer experience and a smarter, more collaborative workplace.  

The financial services leader turned to AVI-SPL Middle East to design, deploy, and manage a workplace technology refresh that: 

  • Enhances customer engagement 
  • Elevates brand awareness 
  • Supports HSBC sustainability standards 
  • Meets the aesthetic of the new office design  

Dinesh Babu, AVI-SPL Middle East’s Account Manager, explained, “Through discussion with IT and our dedicated design engineer, we tailored a comprehensive solution for Jumeirah’s ground and first floors. We launched this solution in two phases.”

Phase 1: Ground floor – Experiential Technology for an Exceptional Customer Experience

Reception

The moment visitors step into the bank’s open-concept reception area, they are greeted by a wall-mounted LG LED video wall that tells the HSBC story.  

This video wall instantly sets the tone for a modern, globally connected banking experience.

LG digital signage is strategically placed in gathering areas, the café, and interactive kiosks to further promote the organization’s brand and services, provide self-service support, and showcase café menus.

Appspace and a BrightSign media player control digital signage and display content distribution.  

Each technological design choice complements the modern banking aesthetic. The central atrium features a welcome desk, teller stations, and small-to-medium meeting rooms. And hoteling stations support mobile work and efficient use of space. 

Collaboration spaces

Meeting spaces surround the reception area. This layout enables easy transitions from initial greetings to more private banking conversations. 

AVI-SPL created a unified Zoom-enabled meeting experience throughout the facility with LG displays, Logitech Rally Bars, and Logitech Tap for Zoom Room control.

Phase 2: First floor – Intuitive, Standardized Boardrooms and Breakout Spaces

The first floor features large consultation rooms, flexible boardrooms, and open workstations. These areas support town halls, strategy sessions, and day-to-day teamwork. 

Large Town Hall/Multipurpose space

Like the ground floor spaces, the large town hall/multipurpose space and other first-floor spaces use Zoom Room conferencing systems. 

The large town hall room uses an HP Poly control panel for intuitive, seamless Zoom interaction. Epson projectors sit on a Draper lift and present content on a DA-LITE screen.  

Q-SYS PTZ cameras, Sennheiser ceiling microphones, and Shure wireless microphones capture in-room meeting interaction. QSC ceiling speakers project remote attendee audio.  

A Q-SYS AV-over-IP system, control processor, and touch panel collectively distribute media. 

Together, this tech creates an intuitive and reliable hybrid meeting experience for users and IT.  

 

Boardroom, large and small consultation spaces, and huddle areas

Legrand AV wall-mounted LG displays, Logitech Rally Bars, and Logitech Tap create a simple, consistent, and easy-to-manage collaboration experience. 

This standardized approach supports productivity by minimizing adoption and start-up time. 

The boardroom uses embedded Logitech Rally mic pods to ensure all participants can hear, regardless of where they are in the space. 

Small meeting and huddle spaces feature Neatboards on rolling stands.  

Sustainability Considerations in Every Step of the Process 

Sustainability was a key pillar of every design and deployment choice behind the scenes.

AVI-SPL Middle East worked closely with HSBC to develop this solution, considering its total lifecycle impact on the environment. 

Both organizations worked to ensure the tailored solution emphasized longevity and scalability to minimize waste and avoid premature upgrades. 

 

HSBC UAE Onsite Managed Services Readily Available  

The Jumeirah branch has access to dedicated Onsite Managed Services resources as part of HSBC UAE’s larger partnership with AVI-SPL. 

“HSBC Jumeirah is very close to the HSBC Dubai tower, where our resources are located,” said Babu. “If an issue occurs, those resources are readily available to support the Jumeirah office.” 

AVI-SPL Onsite Managed Services resources serve as an extension of the HSBC IT support team. These experts optimize HSBC systems through preventative maintenance and incident management and ensure output, metrics, and technological processes deliver a satisfying experience for HSBC employees and customers. 

In addition to dedicated experts, HSBC has access to AVI-SPL’s 24/7 global remote help desk.

HSBC Jumeirah has opened its refreshed branch.

The Jumeirah branch now operates as a seamless blend of digital convenience and personal connection.

Individuals can use interactive kiosks for everyday transactions. Or customers have the opportunity to meet with an agent in a dedicated space for more in-depth conversation.

The first-floor human-centric collaboration design provides employees with a consistent, modern, user-friendly workplace experience. Updated systems also make corporate events easier to host and more impactful.

This new setting serves as a regional benchmark for innovation that is aligned with HSBC’s global vision.
